Diversity: the demonstration of variations on a theme
Variations in detail for the same basic feature, constitute variety. For example, slight differences in shape, size, colour patterns and so on, contribute to variety. Diversity is clearly seen in all the rich collection of creatures with different body plans within an ecosystem. And the different climatic zones allow for greater variety in what organisms will be successful in a given environment. Indeed, we can scarcely comprehend the fascinating differences among creatures and their habitats.
